Nice to meet you

ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm Josh Ratusny, a 23-year-old passionate volleyball player and aspiring professional athlete. As a proud member of the USA Deaflympics Men's Volleyball Team, I'm driven by the goal of bringing home a gold medal for my country. I’m deaf/hard of hearing and embrace the challenges and opportunities that come with it, using my experiences to inspire and lead both on and off the court.

My volleyball journey began in 2020 when I joined the Rochester Institute of Technology’s Men’s Club Volleyball Team. It was there I first discovered my competitive spirit and love for the game. Eager to take my skills to the next level, I transferred to Lawrence Technological University in 2022, where I joined their NAIA program for higher-level competition. The transition was tough but rewarding, as I pushed myself to achieve even greater heights in my athletic career.

In 2024, I had the honor of representing Team USA in my first Deaf World Championship in Okinawa, Japan. While we fought hard and finished in 4th place, it was an unforgettable experience that fueled my drive to bring home the gold for my country in the future.

I’m committed to continual improvement and am excited about what lies ahead—both in volleyball and beyond. I believe that hard work, perseverance, and dedication can help us all achieve greatness. Thank you for visiting my site, and I look forward to connecting with you!
